The AG Dewey house was built in 1876 as a 1½ story cape. AG Dewey was the founder/partner of Dewey's Mills established in 1837. The woolen mill had 63 buildings and, in its grandeur, employed over 200 people. As the Dewey family grew the house expanded; renovated in 1903 the house became the stately Colonial Revival it is today. Due to the historic and architectural significance, the house was added to the National Register of Historic Places. Established perennial gardens enhance the beauty of this lovely home.
